Three layers of Building Transformations’ delivered values:
Informational value accrues from the research and analysis modules. The reports describe the condition of the building and building systems, explain the building for LEED certification, and estimate the cost of inaction. This information is crucial for informed decision making and planning.
Design value comes from the study of alternative solutions of identified issues linked to cost projections. These costs are mapped to building depreciation and real estate tax impact. Exploration of alternative financing sources through grants or energy conservation incentives can be evaluated during design. Design solutions model the future operation of the facility.
Operational value is realized through cost savings captured by the implementation of proposed design solutions. The outcome is operational cost savings and cap rate increase. Additional benefits include enhancement of owner's brand image, increased functionality, and improved health and well being of occupants. Improved building operations make the best use of resources. Building sustainability can be documented by the LEED certification process.
